The Committee meeting convened with Brother Joseph F. Smith presiding and the following members in attendance:

LeRoy Ormsbee, Jack Evens, Dwight Deitrick, Wayne Bartrow, Bill Whenham, Gary Wheeler, Peter Gould (Secy.)

Administration was requested by Peter Gould which was attended to at that time.

Opening prayer offered by Peter Gould. Brother Joseph then brought up the resignation of George Rawlins as treasurer. Wayne agreed to take this task, with the removal of the newsletter from his responsibility. LeRoy Ormsbee agreed to do the newsletter formatting and publication. Brother Joseph agreed to furnish the information and addresses to LeRoy. George Rawlins’ letter of resignation was read and accepted. It was resolved that Wayne would take the treasurer’s responsibilities with Brother Joseph to assist.

The subject of our reunion was brought up. The following duties were discussed:

Reunion Coordinator/Director: Gary agreed to verify whether or not Gene Mitchell would be the reunion coordinator.

Dining Hall Coordination: It was suggested that Gail Losier and Wanda Deitrick would work out a menu.

Business manager: Dwight Deitrick agreed to be the business manager.

Reunion Registration: After some discussion it was determined that registration would be handled by the reunion director.

Reunion Pastor, teachers, recreation, and grounds-keeper: To be handled by the Reunion Coordinator.

Gary brought up the March 14th date in Independence and asked who would preside in this meeting. Jack Evans suggested that Joseph contact local people that are supportive of the unity effort. It was resolved that Wayne would bring out the working harmony agreement at that meeting, and that Jack Evans would preside. It was suggested that Edith Whistler supply music. It was also suggested that the proceeds of the collection taken at that meeting be given to the school. Gary suggested local people (i.e. Paul Gage, and David Block) to assist with the meeting. Other names selected were Bob McLeod and Richard Smith. It was left to Jack to determine who to use to assist him in the meeting. Jack Haggarson was suggested for song-leader.

Closing prayer was offered by LeRoy (Buddy) Ormsbee.
